Kuala Lumpur, 7 November 2025

  • In honour of Pink October and Movember, Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad (Allianz Life) reinforces its commitment to health protection and community wellbeing through its ‘Together, We’ve Got This’ campaign.

  • The campaign serves as a nationwide call to raise awareness of breast and prostate cancer, highlight the life-saving importance of early detection and regular screening, and encourage Malaysians to take proactive steps in safeguarding their health and that of their loved ones.

  • For Allianz Life, cancer related claims have shown notable growth across both Hospitalisation and Critical Illness (CI) benefits.

  • Under Hospitalisation, breast cancer claims rose by 71.5%, from 2,897 cases in 2020 to 4,969 cases in 2024. Prostate cancer cases more than doubled from 166 cases to 396 cases over the same period.
  • Meanwhile, under CI, breast cancer claims grew by 33.6%, from 301 cases in 2020 to 402 cases in 2024, while prostate cancer increased 22.2% from 18 to 22 cases.

  • Overall, both segments reflect an upward trend in breast cancer and prostate cancer related claims, underscoring the growing need for comprehensive protection and early medical intervention among policyholders.

  • Allianz Life Chief Executive Officer, Charles Ong, said that true protection begins with awareness.

  • “We have seen the growing number of cancer cases reflected in our claims, but we have also seen the difference early detection makes. That is why awareness matters.

  • “Our purpose as an insurer goes beyond claims coverage, it is about helping people live healthier and more confident lives.”

  • Under the ‘Together, We’ve Got This’ campaign, Allianz Life is offering protection solutions that support long-term health security, including Prime Care+ and HealthCover Plus, both designed to provide comprehensive critical illness coverage and peace of mind for Malaysians.
